grey-to-heightmap. As I compare the quality... I think I'm improving

Look, some people fav my grey-to-heightmaps. Not that I was complaining but I really don't understand you. It's a bit like faving a musical composition written on sheet of music instead of mp3 playing it. Sure it does look interesting but that's a project meant for further processing to create a 3D result, say, import it in a 3D modeller or a game mod editor and make it into an in-game wall relief, or run it throuh some CNC machine, or do some more editing in a 3D modeller to create a full 3D model of a horse or such, then it will be a full work. Now it's just like sheet music or a CAD project of a building, or a recipe how to make a cake. It's the song, the building, the cake that is art.

So if you fav my greymaps, drop me a line explaining your motives, please.

All my greymaps are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution license. That means feel free to include and transform at will in any of your works, but credit me. Note these are derivative works when applicable, so a part of copyright belongs to the authors of the originals and you may need separate permissions from them as well. (AFAIK the co-authors they should give the permissions without problems, so don't worry.)
